Food that fits the week you actually have

We are a small, dietitian-led practice in Stirling. No plans built for someone else's life — we start from your kitchen, your budget and your Tuesday evening.

What we do

Three ways to work together. Most people start with a single consultation and decide from there — there is no package you have to buy up front.

One-to-one consultation

Ninety minutes, in person or online. We go through what you eat now, what gets in the way, and what a realistic next fortnight looks like.

£65

Seasonal meal planning

A four-week rolling plan built around what is actually in the market this month, with a shopping list that fits one trip.

£40 / month

Saturday kitchen

Small-group cooking mornings, six people maximum. We cook three dishes, eat them together and you take the rest home.

£28 per session

About the practice

Open Table began in 2019 as a Saturday cooking club above a bakery on Baker Street. It turned into a practice when the same questions kept coming up: what do I eat when I get home at seven, what do I do about the child who eats four things, is any of this worth the money.

Ailsa, who runs it, is a registered dietitian and spent nine years in NHS Forth Valley before going independent. Marta joined in 2023 and looks after the group sessions and the seasonal plans.

“I expected a diet sheet. I got a conversation about why I skip lunch on clinic days, and a plan that survived a fortnight of night shifts.”

Katrina, Bridge of Allan

“The Saturday kitchen is the only class I have ever finished. Six people, three dishes, and you go home with dinner.”

Rory, Stirling

“The monthly plan cut our shopping bill without anyone at home noticing a change. That was the whole point.”

Helen, Dunblane

From the kitchen

A few things we have cooked recently on Saturdays — most of it comes from the Thursday market on Port Street.
